  • cinema5D.com ? View topic - Ah! Apple Color and an amazing 16-235 fix!!: NOW the mark 2 is finally satisfying me as an imaging tool! Lovely black and highlight rendition on these videos. Sometimes there is a bit of blocky compression seeming to be hiding in the crushed shadows, but nothing another slight curve in After Effects won't fix.
  • cinema5D.com ? View topic - Gamma differences (Quicktime/Fin al Cut): Now I'm puzzled. Using raw 5DII clips, I get significantly different gamma levels between Quicktime, Firefox and Final Cut Express. I mention Firefox because I viewed some of those clips on Vimeo, side by side (or should I say overlaid) with FCE and Quicktime. FCE is the darkest. Everything looks too contrasty (and very saturated, of course). Then comes Firefox (Vimeo's embedded flash player), where blacks start to open up. Then there's Quicktime, even brighter, lots of details.
